Hiding the allowed comments markup in WordPress
WordPress is a great platform, but often little things can be quite hard to find (unless you know where to look). Something that bugged me quite a bit was the Allowed Tags Markup bellow the comments section, the fix was quite simple.
Go to your active themes folder and comments file /wp-contents/themes/themename/comments.php and find this line:
<?php comment_form(); ?>
Replace that with the following:
<?php comment_form(array('comment_notes_after' => '')); ?>
Ta da, very simple. Just remember, this doesn’t disable the tags allowed (an experienced WordPress commenter would still be able to use the markup). It simply hides the markup text and IMO keeps the theme a little cleaner.
